PLEASE SEE BELOW THE GOVERNMENT’S STATEMENT ON HOW THE NEW MANDATES APPLY TO CHURCHES
“In light of the recent COVID-19 announcements we would like to share an updated version of the BC CDC’s “Step 3 Guidance for Holding Low Risk Worship Services” – see attached. The changes are highlighted in yellow and confirm that neither the provincial mask mandate nor the requirement for proof of vaccination status apply to worship services and meetings.
The guidance will continue to be updated at the following links in the coming days:
Please note, discretionary (e.g., social or non-essential) meetings taking place at places of worship will be subject to proof of vaccination requirements. Non-discretionary meetings such as AA, NA and other support groups are exempt.
We have also attached English and multi-lingual social media graphics both for the proof of vaccination requirement and mask mandate for you to get the word out to your communities.
Please feel free to email us at VCO.Stakeholders@gov.bc.ca if you have any questions.”
